Chandauli. A major train accident was averted in Uttar Pradesh on Monday. In Chandauli, railway employees caught a major mistake in the train in time, due to which a train accident could be averted. Actually, Howrah Kalka Netaji Subhash Chandra Express kept running with the help of a broken spring. This was discovered during investigation at Pandit Deen Dayal (DDU) Junction of Chandauli.
A bigger accident has been averted. After which there was panic among the officials. Station manager Sanjay Kumar said that Kalka Mail (Kalka Express) reached platform seven at 9:22. During routine checking, it was found that the spring of B1 coach was broken. The coach is being changed. A major accident has been averted. A new coach is being installed. After this the train will leave. During investigation it was found that the spring was broken.
All the passengers have been evacuated safely. The train (Kalka Express) is being prepared. Announcement is also being made to avoid any kind of chaos. Passenger Ashok Kumar told that the spring of the train has got damaged. The bogie is being changed. Now we have secured our luggage and are waiting for the next coach.
It is noteworthy that about a week ago, Up Netaji Express going from Howrah to Kalka had reached platform number seven of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction at eight in the morning. During routine checking of the train, passengers of AC coach B-4 reported that they were feeling tremors while moving. When investigation was done near the wheel of the coach, a broken spring was found in it. The train had reached here with the help of a broken spring. The carriage department informed the control about this. After this the train (Kalka Express) was sent by changing the coach.
