Kamal Haasan recently bounced back with the movie ‘Vikram’. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film became a massive hit. Kamal acted as a producer for this film and it brought huge profits. Also, Mani Ratnam also scored a huge hit in the highly prestigious film ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ in Tamil. Now the film is coming after 37 years in the combination of both of them. The news that Mani Ratnam is planning to cast seven pan-Indian stars from South and Bollywood in this project is currently doing the rounds on social media.
In this prestigious film, it is known that Trisha Krishnan, who played a key role in Mani Ratnam’s latest hit ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, will play the female lead. Mammootty, Shahrukh Khan and others will be seen in key roles. But an official announcement from the makers is yet to come.
Indian legendary music director AR Rahman will provide the music for this biggest project. Mani Ratnam and Rahman combination music is known. Along with Madras Talkies, Kamal Haasan Raj Kamal Films International and Udayanidhi Stalin’s ‘Red Giant Movies’ banners will jointly produce this epic project.
Mani Ratnam is currently working on the second part of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. Karthi, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai and others are playing key roles in this movie, while the shooting of this movie has reached its final stage. Soon the details of the new project are likely to be revealed officially.
