Mumbai Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is making headlines for her film ‘Emergency’. The film has not been released till date. But the District Court of Chandigarh has issued a notice regarding her movie. In the past, the release of her upcoming movie has been postponed, due to which the Emergency movie got entangled in legal trouble.
Former Bar Association President Advocate Ravinder Singh Bassi has filed an application and claimed that Kangana Ranaut has tried to tarnish the image of Sikhs in her film. Actually Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’ was to be released on 6 September. But it got a certificate from the Censor Board and 4 days before its release, this movie was cancelled.
The actress (Kangana Ranaut) had said in a program, ‘I had put my personal property at stake for this film Emergency. It was to be shown in theaters but now it is not being released. So it is only property that can be sold in difficult times.’ Earlier this month, there were reports that actress and filmmaker Kangana sold her bungalow located in Pali Hill in Bandra, Mumbai for Rs 32 crore.
While earlier Kangana Ranaut had received threats from the Sikh community for the film, now the advocate has said in the application that Kangana Ranaut has not only shown the image of Sikhs in a wrong way in ‘Emergency’. She has also made false allegations against the community. That is why he has demanded to register a case against the actress. Now the court will hear this matter on December 5.
