Mumbai Actress Kangana Ranaut recently invited Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to watch her upcoming film Emergency, in which Kangana plays the role of Priyanka’s grandmother and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Kangana extended this invitation to her fellow MP during a conversation in Parliament.
Kangana Ranaut has played the role of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in this film. This film is releasing on 17th January. Kangana said, ‘I met Priyanka Gandhi in Parliament. I told him that he should see the emergency. She was quite humble about it. Kangana said that Priyanka (Priyanka Gandhi) agreed to this and said that okay, let’s see. Kangana said that now it has to be seen whether they will go to watch the film (Emergency) or not.
Kangana Ranaut said, ‘I thought there is a lot about a person. When it comes to women, his equations remain limited to women only. Much is disputed about him. But I have taken care of dignity. I think everyone should watch this film (Emergency).

Kangana Ranaut said that ‘Indira Gandhi was a very popular leader. Apart from whatever happened during the Emergency or some other things, there are many other things for which people remember him. Becoming Prime Minister thrice is no joke. People believed him. The film Emergency is the story of the 21-month long period from 1975 to 1977, in which the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declared emergency in the entire country citing internal and external threats.
