Story
Rambo (Vijay Sethupathi)’s father dies shortly after birth. The mother becomes insane and confined to bed. Rambo’s father takes a step forward to dispel the superstition of the village people that no one in their clan is married and that even if they get married, something bad will happen. He gets married .. He also becomes a father. But the moment Rambo is born he dies. With this, all the people of the village think that their belief is true. So Rambo’s aunt and uncle continue their life without getting married. However, the notion that Rambo himself was unlucky was strongly ingrained in his childhood. He understands that whatever he wants will not reach his grasp and it will go away. Rambo at least fails to be the unfortunate one who can’t get the Chocobar ice cream. No rain will fall on Rambo, which is easily available to everyone. Rambo thinks that if he is close, something will happen to Kannathalli too. With this, Rambo leaves town for his mother and her well-being. Grows away. How did Kanmani (Nayantara) and Khatija (Samantha) enter into such a Rambo life? How did they both change Rambo’s life? What did Rambo, who loved the two at the same time, finally do? What decision did Kanmani and Khatijas finally make when they actually loved the same person? Did Rambo overcome the superstition of the people of the village and the curse of his clan? Same story.
Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha, Nayantara will not find any chance to distort the performance. All three competed and acted very well. Vijay Sethupathi played the role of Rambo as a cab driver during the day and as a bouncer in a pub all night. Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most unfortunate people in the world. Vignesh Sivan gave a soft role to Nayantara and Samantha was given a rough and tough role in the form of Khatija. All in all, these three performed wonderfully. Everyone did justice to their respective roles.
We’ve seen a lot of Triangle love stories so far. There have been many love stories like two boys falling in love with the same girl and two girls falling in love with one boy at the same time. Chitralenno, which came under that category, also remained a cult classical film. However, the ending given to the films, the way they were screened and all the other elements together made the films stand out classically.
Rambo’s character is the same in this movie. Ramboki far from love .. Iddarammayilu proposes to love at the same time. Over and over for Rambo those two are life. He thinks his life changed when those two came. Such a Rambo could not deny those two. However, Vignesh Sivan was not able to touch and touch the mind of the audience.
Even from the side of Kanmani and Khatija, they could not show that love so strongly. Seriousness does not appear anywhere in this film. Vignesh takes the story forward by adding humor similar to Sivan style. But the audience could not connect the intensity of this triangle love story. The first half is locked with love scenes between the three. However, the dialogues with Vijay Sethupathi in the scene before the interval, that scene did not seem to matter. Sean whistles as he says he loves both of them.
And even in the second sense it doesn’t even happen if you think the bond, the love, between the three of them shows that conflict strongly. How long the story seems to be spinning around. When will the movie finally end? Thoughts come up. As the climax approaches, it is a test of the viewer’s patience. If I get married, I will do both .. or Rambo’s character says no, but the ending given at the end is different from the routine.
Some of the dialogues in this film are impressive. I have two eyes .. I have two ears .. I like Idli, I like Doshe .. I like Rajini .. I like Kamal. Don’t want to love both? The dialogue that Rambo says is that I cut my heart in two .. I made two thrones and seated the two of you, that approach is good. Funny conversations between Samantha and Nayantara about pistachios and almonds are also good.
After the words, the songs and background music in the film get marks. The songs given by Anirudh, the background score of the hit is a bit of a relief. The cinematography, editing and production values are all well done. But none of these could stand the movies.
