Rami managed to make his way to the final rounds, by overcoming the champions of the Philippines and Thailand, before losing the semi-final to the champion of Japan, to play the match to determine third and fourth place, and as a result he achieved the bronze medal by defeating the champion of Iraq, Mohammed Hamid.
