That is why, 14 years after the divorce, he was encouraged to tell his truth. And she explained that she could only express it because before she felt ashamed of what she experienced, a situation that led her to emigrate to the United States and start a new life.

Kate del Castillo alerted all her followers with the confession she made on the program Red table talk: the Estefans, by singer Gloria Estefan. In the conversation, the interpreter of Teresa Mendoza in La reina del sur commented on the episodes of violence that she lived with her ex-husband Luis García.
“He became a very different person and I lived in fear”, said Kate del Castillo, who married Garcia in 2001 and divorced four years later.
The artist and businesswoman recalled the constant personality changes that the former athlete was going through.
“(He was) very funny, fascinating, charming (…). Then he would cry until he was tired (…). He would hug me and ask me on his knees: ‘Please, please forgive me, I need help!’
Despite the physical and psychological abuse of which she was a victim, the 49-year-old actress managed to divorce the sportscaster nicknamed ‘Doctor’.
