However, KCR announced in a public meeting that 589 village panchayats of Khammam district will be sanctioned Rs.10 lakh each from the CM’s special fund. It has been revealed that major panchayats like Pedthanda, Kallur, Edulapuram, Tallada and Nelakondapally are being sanctioned Rs.10 crore each. And for the development of Khammam Municipal Corporation, Rs. 50 crores are being sanctioned. Apart from this, as per the request of Minister Puvwada Ajay Kumar, CM KCR promised that a government engineering college will be set up under JNTU in Khammam. KCR announced that all the journalists in Khammam district center will be granted house plots within a month.
