As a gift of Tukamma, Telangana state government will give another good news to women. It has been decided to give ‘KCR Nutrition kit’ to pregnant women from next month. Medical and Health Minister Harish Rao disclosed this on Saturday (August 13). He said that KCR kits have been provided to 13.30 lakh women in the state so far. The minister inaugurated the program management unit in the office premises of the medical and health department in Kothi and then addressed the meeting held there.
Harish Rao said that there are 5 cath labs, 5 MRI, 30 CT scans and 1,020 advanced equipments in various hospitals of Telangana state. It was also revealed that the budget for medicines to be given to patients in hospitals is being increased. The minister explained that the authorities have been instructed to make the stock of medicines required for 3 months available in the government hospitals using the medicine portal.
Minister Harish Rao said on this occasion that Rs.100 crore funds are being deposited with the superintendents of all government hospitals. The minister said that a special program has been designed to repair the machines in government hospitals immediately. For this he said that ‘e-Uparakan’ website is also being launched.
