The CM explained that the burden on Hyderabad has increased due to the arrival of Kovid for treatment from states like Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The CM told the Prime Minister that an additional 50 per cent of corona patients from the Telangana population would come from other states to take over the availability of Oxygen Vaccine Remedy Mantri drugs on Hyderabad. Under these circumstances, the state is currently receiving only 440 metric tonnes of oxygen per day and asked the Prime Minister to increase it to 500 metric tonnes. He said that only 4,900 remedies were being received in Telangana per day and asked to increase them to at least 25 thousand per day.
Union Minister assured
He said that so far the Center has provided only 50 lakh doses of vaccines but the need is more in view of the needs of the state. The state needs 2 to 2.5 lakh doses of vaccines every day and the CM KCR appealed to Prime Minister Modi to supply them immediately. Union Minister Piyush Goel spoke to KCR on the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Minister Goel assured KCR that all the issues requested by Prime Minister KCR would be brought to the notice of the state soon and steps would be taken for speedy supply of oxygen vaccine remedy. Oxygen will be supplied from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and other eastern states.
A high-level review meeting chaired by CM KCR was held on Thursday at Pragati Bhavan on Corona conditions. On this occasion the CM gave a thorough review of the corona conditions prevailing in the state. In the case of vaccines, the CM directed those who were vaccinated with the first dose to give preference to the second dose according to their prescribed time. The CM, who reviewed the oxygen supply, made several attempts to increase the availability of oxygen in the state.
