The National Football League (NFL) confirmed through its social media that American rapper Kendrick Lamar will be in charge of starring in the Halftime show for the 59th edition of Super Bowl LIX, which will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana.
This will be the second performance of the singer, originally from California, who had the opportunity to accompany Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent and Dr. Dre, in the 2022 edition.

In the recent post, the NFL, along with Apple Music and ROC Nation, released Lamar’s introductory video. In it, the singer can be seen in the stadium accompanied by a giant American flag.
“Are you ready? Exactly, what’s the deal? My name is Kendrick Lamar and I’ll be performing at Super Bowl LIX. I hope you know there’s only one shot to win the championship. Let’s do this!” the 37-year-old rapper said.
Kendrick Lamar’s performance at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show is scheduled to last approximately 13 minutes, which is about the average length of a performance at the event. However, last year, Usher surprised the audience with a longer show, offering a 15-minute performance.
According to information provided by The Hollywood Reporter, the creative direction of Kendrick Lamar’s show will be handled by pgLang, the creative company founded by the talented rapper and his collaborator Dave Free. Dave Free, a renowned filmmaker and producer, has been responsible for the production of most of Lamar’s impressive music videos.
