After a month, an agency coordinator called me for Bigo Live and since I was already prepared, I accepted it. Currently, I only work with Bigo, where I have a radio and we talk about various cultural issues, languages, sing and create music.
The plot consists of five scenes that describe the stages of a mother’s or father’s life, which are: the desire to have a child, when you know it will come, the birth, taking care of it and growth because one day it will starting.
In a personal way, it means the rebirth of my career by returning to face-to-face to start, which for me is a milestone. Also, it portrays my story, because I long to become a dad.

It also has sentimental value because it’s one of the songs we wrote together with the community (fans); because in the pandemic one of the things I did was create a Patreon, and we created it with several people who were there. For this reason, I always define myself as a todista and not as a soloist, because I include many people in all my projects.
– What do you want to transmit with your songs?
They are messages of love in a general way, love in its most complete perspective, which can be love for a father, for a partner, for a place, for people, etc. In addition to uniting my music deals with real stories that people can relate to . Also, help people to create and shape.
– Your songs have various melodies. How would you define gender?
I would define it as eclectic or a mixture of influences, since I don’t limit myself to one genre, because with each song I explore something different. The only thing they have in common is that they portray a story, a message, different feelings, but always from a constructive and unifying point of view.
For example, when I was in Akinee, we talked about working with Lucho Quequezana and I would like to collaborate with him, because he started by merging the different musical sounds of Peru.

Akine’s End
– When did the members of Akinee decide to separate?
The reason we split up was because each one of us was going to pursue something different, each one completed a cycle and one of the members went to live in Japan.
We were all in that last year with a lot of traveling and somehow life didn’t cross us much anymore for some reason. The time didn’t fit anymore and we decided to follow a different path.
– Did Akinee say goodbye to his followers?
We were with Akinee from 2008 to 2018. In April 2018, we did a farewell concert called “Para Busca el Sol”, just like our first single. When we said goodbye, we knew that at some point we would meet again.
– Have you thought about making a reunion?
In fact, in 2020, we got together digitally to record a new version of “Para Busca al Sol” and people really liked seeing us.

His new solo project
– In Peru, is it easy to make music as a soloist or with a band?
As in any profession, what has been totally good is never easy. The means exist, you just have to know how to find them. There is a moment that will not be easy, because it is a challenge in Peru, but it is not that we are advancing as a music industry.
There are many very cool artists and people appreciate it through digital media. The culture of supporting the artist has been improving over time, but it is not as much as in other countries.
– What is wrong people in music?
There are people who see music as a hobby or as ‘I’m going to play to be famous and wait for a talent scout’. The ultimate challenge is to understand that music is not about being very talented or singing superbly; but also (of) knowing how to manage yourself know what your niche is and understand what kind of people you connect with, what you can offer them and what your value proposition is to see that your project is going to impact someone.
In addition to having perseverance, because many things happen along the way, it is learning and finding the niche. Be true to yourself; because, if you have a project in which you believe, your essence cannot change cannot be affected.
If what you are looking for with your project is to become famous, you already started badly; because if your goal is that, (…) you will never be happy (because) you will always want more and you will forget what you are offering to people.

– What is your project as a soloist?
Currently it is not a question of putting myself to sing, but that there is a community development. If I could measure the growth of my project, it would be how the community is growing—and this is how I am achieving each goal. For example, going around the world singing and, somehow, I have achieved it digitally.
I also recorded a cover of a song from my parents’ time and it got played in Japan thanks to my brother Eric, who runs a radio there. However, I have the idea of creating a single to perform with my brothers, Eric and Dennis, as we both have a large fan base separately and it would be a surprise to them.
– What differentiates your music from the urban genre?
Each one generates a formula that is very marquetry, but utilitarian. Perhaps the music I make is not going to be very commercial or booming, but the starting point is the message. It is necessary to understand that it is not launching anything, it has to be something coherent, consistent and that my music reaches the right people.
The reunion with his followers
– Why did you choose Mother’s Day to release your new single, “ACuidar Tus Sueños”?
This song was written in 2020 and I thought about releasing it when I have a child but changed my mind. On this occasion, instead of dedicating a theme to the mother or father, the song is simply a portrait.

In addition, I chose this date to have a moment with which I am returning to presence with my new concert on May 7 called “Modo Storytime”, at the MoDo campus house, where I will be with my guitar and my stories, because for me it is rebirth in the new stage of my career.
– After a long time, you will meet your followers again. What do you expect at this concert?
Meet again and, in some cases, meet them, because there are people who have joined along the way and I see them virtually every day, but we have never met face to face. It will be something nice. It is a time to share and I hope it will be a meeting of friends, very warm.
