Key development in the chicken knife attack case on CM Jagan.. NIA wants some time!

In the wake of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) clarifying that there is no conspiracy in the Kodikatthi attack case on YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the CM’s lawyer recently presented his arguments in the NIA court. The NIA court in Vijayawada heard on Monday in the assassination attempt case against CM Jaganmohan Reddy. Inakollu Venkateshwarlu, the lawyer on behalf of CM Jagan, heard the arguments. Advocate Venkateswarlu brought to the attention of the court that the NIA filed the chargesheet without considering many factors and did not investigate the conspiracy angle. Therefore, further investigation is required. The accused Srinivas Rao had taken a house plot in Talelanka village on the recommendation of the Janmabhoomi Committee. Also, it is stated that the accused took Sreenu to Harshvardhan’s restaurant according to a well-planned scheme. On the other hand, accused Shinu expressed doubt as to why the Garuda photo mentioned earlier by a film actor appeared on the flexi set up in his village. It was brought to the attention of the court that NIA has not given any case diary on other issues.

Meanwhile, the court that took up the investigation on this case gave an opportunity to the NIA to hear its arguments. However, the counsel for the NIA requested the court for some time to present their arguments. With this, the next hearing has been postponed to 20th of this month.

The NIA has recently filed a counter in the Vijayawada court on the petition filed earlier by CM Jagan asking for an in-depth investigation into the Kodikatthi attack case. It said that there is no conspiracy in this case. In the counter, the NIA said that Harshavardhan, the owner of the restaurant there, had nothing to do with the incident that took place at the Visakhapatnam airport. Also, it has been clarified that Srinivasa Rao, who is an accused in this case, is not a TDP sympathizer.

The NIA has appealed to the court to dismiss the petition filed by CM Jagan as the investigation into the chicken knife attack case has started and there is no need for further investigation. In this context, the lawyer for CM Jagan, who asked for time to present his arguments, recently explained his arguments to the court. However, on the request of NIA, the trial of this case was once again postponed.
