According to the police, G. Anjireddy (71) of Hyderabad’s Padmarao Nagar has made some films as a producer. After that he earned well in real estate business. He has three children.. One son lives in Nagarasivaru Mokilla, another son and daughter are staying abroad. But Anji Reddy thought to stay in America and applied for citizenship there. He recently decided to sell his properties here after acquiring US citizenship. Ravi, who worked as a senior photographer during his time as a producer, told Katragadda this about 8 months ago. Later he went to America.
Ravi Katragadda posted the details of Anjireddy’s properties in a WhatsApp group of agents and traders related to real estate. A month ago, when Anjireddy came back to Hyderabad with his wife, Ravi Katragadda introduced Rajesh, the owner of GR Convention, to Anjireddy. Rajesh told Anjireddy that he would buy the house in Padmarao Nagar, repair it and make it beautiful. Anjireddy told Rajesh that he would also sell another property in Saidabad.. He introduced two women to him saying that a party was ready to buy it.
Rajesh wanted to own the house in Padmarao Nagar without paying any money. For this, Rs.2.1 crores were paid to him in cash in two installments and another Rs. 50 lakhs to his wife and prepared a sample draft to get the house registered. When Anji Reddy thought to sell this house and buy a villa in Advait gated community in Medchal, he was taken by Rajesh Medchal on 29th of last month. While there, Anjireddy’s wife called from Australia.
Later on the same day at 5.30 pm, Anji Reddy and Rajesh entered the Demart building where GR Convention is located in different cars. Rajesh, his wife, driver and two Biharis working at the convention brutally murdered Anjireddy in the parking place. Later, the accused tried to film Anji Reddy as if he had been hit by a vehicle in the parking lot and died. Ravi called Anji Reddy’s son Sricharan Reddy who was in Katragadda Mokila and told him the same thing. When Mr. Charan complained to the police with suspicion, a case of suspicious death was first registered. Anjireddy’s murder was concluded with the help of CC camera footages and other technical evidence. It was confirmed that Ravi Katragadda, Rajesh and his wife killed Anjireddy for the sake of property. The accused were arrested and remanded.
