Amritsar. Tarsem Singh, father of Waris Punjab De chief and Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh, was placed under house arrest at his residence on Tuesday morning. Within no time, heavy police force reached his village Jallupur Kheda and his residence was surrounded from all sides.
Tarsem Singh had raised his voice a few days ago that he will form a new party. According to the information received, after discussing with Amritpal Singh, Tarsem Singh had to form a new party and announce its office bearers during the Maghi Fair. Tarsem Singh of Qaumi Insaaf Morcha had to reach the fair with his supporters.
The people of the village told that the police had started gathering in the village late on Monday night. When seen on Tuesday, the village was surrounded by police from all sides. Especially more than a hundred policemen were deployed outside the house of Amritpal Singh. At present the police officers are not speaking openly on this.
Tarsem Singh released a video alleging that the Bhagwant Mann government is weakening democracy. An atmosphere of terror is being created in the village. Tarsem Singh said that he had to attend the function being held in Mohali, before which the police surrounded the village and he was put under house arrest. Tarsem Singh appealed to the people to reach the front in maximum numbers to support him and protect the rights of the jailed Sikhs.
