The results of the Karnataka assembly elections are out. Congress has got a clear majority in the state. Now the Congress has to decide who should be made the Chief Minister? For this, a meeting of the party’s Legislature Party was held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bengaluru on Sunday.
During this, 3 observers Sushil Kumar Shinde, Deepak Bawaria and Bhanwar Jitendra Singh were present along with DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah. It was decided in the meeting that the leader of the Legislature Party would be chosen by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Siddaramaiah had moved this proposal, which was supported by all the MLAs including Shivakumar.
Here, at the behest of Mallikarjun Kharge, all the MLAs spoke to the observers one-to-one in the hotel itself throughout the night.

3 statements regarding the post of Chief Minister
1. DK said – I have no differences with Siddaramaiah
Shivakumar said- Some people say that I have differences with Siddaramaiah, but there is no difference between us. I made sacrifices for the party and stood by Siddaramaiah.
2. Not 2, 4 contenders for the post of CM
Karnataka Congress Working President Ramalinga Reddy said- AICC President and General Secretary will take opinion in the Legislature Party meeting and elect the Chief Minister. Every party has ambitions of someone or the other, but there will be only one CM. The election will be done by the MLA and the High Command. Not only Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah, MB Patil and G Parameshwara also want to become CM.
3. Chief Minister’s announcement in 2-3 days
Congress leader Syed Naseer said – CM will be announced within 2-3 days. Preparations are on to form the cabinet soon.

After meeting his guru on Sunday, DK Shivakumar returned to his home in the evening.

A large number of supporters gathered outside Shivakumar’s house on Sunday, raising slogans of ‘We want DK’.

DK Shivakumar along with his family reached Nonavinkere Kadasiddeshwara Math in Tumakuru on Sunday to seek the blessings of Vrishabha Deshikendra Pramukh Saint.

Even before the meeting, posters started by supporters of Congress Karnataka chief DK Shivakumar and senior leader Siddaramaiah. Supporters have pasted posters at various places in Bengaluru calling for Siddaramaiah and DK to be made the CM. On the other hand, Vokkaliga saints have met Shivakumar at his house after the victory.

Got the blessings of victory from Nonavinkere Math
After meeting the head of Nonnavinkere Kadasiddeshwar Math, Shivakumar said – This math is a holy place for me. Swamiji has always guided me. Even when the Income Tax raid happened, Swamiji gave me full guidance. I asked for 134 seats and got more than that.
