The self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) offered Kiev to inspect infrastructure facilities that were damaged by fire from Ukrainian security forces in the past two weeks, but Ukraine refused. This was stated by the representative of the republic in the subgroup on security Alexei Nikonorov, on September 14 reports “Donetsk news agency”.
The reason for the proposal was the accusations made against Donetsk of falsifying the facts of shelling of energy and other important facilities.
“We have proposed <...> to confirm all these facts <...> by means of a joint inspection,” Nikonorov noted.
This was to test the effectiveness of such interaction, the DPR spokesman said. However, Kiev again refused the offer of the republic.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a case after the injuries of civilians by the Ukrainian military in Donbass. On September 11, Dokuchaevsk was shelled, two civilians were wounded – a 65-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman.
On September 8, in Donetsk, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at the Zasyadko mine with dozens of miners inside. The deaths and injuries were not reported.
Since 2014, Kiev has been conducting a military operation against the residents of Donbass, who refused to recognize the results of the coup d’etat and the new government in Ukraine. At the same time, Kiev blames Moscow for the current situation. At the same time, Russia has repeatedly stated that it is not a party to the internal Ukrainian conflict.
