Kim Jong-un thanked China for joint opposition to hostile forces

The leader of the DPRK Kim Jong-un thanked the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping for the cooperation between the two countries, which contributes to the joint confrontation of the challenges of the “hostile forces”. This was announced on Saturday, September 25, by the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea (CTAC).

“Kim Jong-un said in his message that he was very pleased to see how comradely unity and cooperation between the DPRK and China are steadily strengthening in the joint struggle to defend and glorify socialism, while overcoming vicious challenges and obstacles from hostile forces,” the agency notes …

The North Korean leader is confident that the “traditional friendship” between Pyongyang and Beijing will continue to develop and, through joint efforts, will demonstrate “its invincible vitality.”

In conclusion, Kim Jong-un stressed that China’s support “is a great strength and courage” for the DPRK’s party, government and people.

On September 9, Xi Jinping sent congratulations to the North Korean leader on the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the DPRK. He pointed out that the friendly relations established between China and North Korea are valuable for both countries.

On September 24, DPRK Deputy Foreign Minister Lee Tae Sung said that the situation on the Korean Peninsula does not allow signing a peace treaty between the DPRK and the United States. According to him, the country’s leadership considers the adoption of the relevant document premature and incapable of resolving the existing differences.
