At the moment, the meteorologists from Weer Online expect afternoon temperatures of 11 degrees in the Wadden area, 13 or 14 degrees in the center of the country and locally 15 degrees in the south. Normally, the afternoon temperature in the last week of April is around 17 degrees.
But despite the lower temperatures during King’s Day, it will remain as good as dry this year. The weather will be fine for outdoor activities. The morning will start cold with temperatures below 10 degrees for a long time. So anyone who goes to a clothing market during the early morning would do well to bring a thick orange sweater.
The sun is also present. Especially during the morning she shines a lot, during the course of the day friendly cumulus clouds also arise. Because there is little wind and the sun shines enough, it sometimes already feels like spring. During the afternoon it is therefore ideal weather for an orange bitter on the terrace.
Pretty fresh
But don’t forget to bring a cardigan or jacket during the afternoon. When the sun hides behind cumulus clouds for a while, it still feels quite fresh at 11 to 15 degrees.
“With sun power 4 or 5 you can burn within 25 to 60 minutes, despite the lower temperature. So protect yourself if you go outside for longer and the sun is shining brightly,” says meteorologist Jeroen Elferink.
During King’s Day it will be warmer, drier and sunnier than the first half of the coming week. On Monday and Tuesday in particular, showers can fall at 9 to 11 degrees and often a lot of wind.
