Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam was completed at the Thirumala Srivari Temple. Priests performed a temple cleansing ceremony to mark Vaikuntha Ekadashi. From the sanctum sanctorum to the walls of the temple, the walls were cleansed and coated with perfume. During the cleansing of the temple, the Swami covered them with new clothes and decorated them after the ceremony. The devotees were then allowed to visit the Swami.

Today Swami is offering their darshan only to the devotees. Arrangements were made to pull the gold chariot through 200 TTD female employees.
Vaikuntha Ekadashi will be visited by Vaikuntha from January 13 to 22. Every year on Vaikuntha Ekadashi, millions of devotees flock to visit Thirumala Srivastava through the North Gate. Devotees are keen to visit Srimannarayana at the North Gate on this day. Ekadashi and Dwadashi are the only two days when the Vaikuntha Gate is open and most people do not get to see the North Gate. That is why TDD Vaikunthadwaram will be kept open for ten days.
Dakshinayanam begins On Ashada Shuddha Ekadashi, Narayana wakes up on Karthika Shuddha Ekadashi, the beginning of Yoganidra in the ocean of milk. On the new moon Shuklapaksha Ekadashi, the three deities reach Vaikuntha to visit the awakened Lord. That is why it is called Mukkoti Ekadashi. The gateway to heaven is called Ekadashi because the dead saints in Dakshinayanam are given the opportunity to enter heaven on this day.
