14 years ago, Korina Rivadeneira arrived in Peru on vacation and ended up staying and putting down roots. Born in Valencia, Venezuela, her face did not go unnoticed and she was hired for various campaigns, until she came to television. Since then, she has been a model in shows, acted in soap operas and also on the big screen. She has more than three million followers on Instagram, a relationship with Mario Hart, and two children. Precisely, at this moment, she is with her little ones enjoying a few days on the beach.
“I’m exhausted but happy. I have taken a break from acting because I am exhausted from so much work, because I have not stopped for a second, a day, or an hour. I’ve just been getting sicker than normal and I think that’s why. I’ve been having a bad time. I’m going to rest for a few days with the children at the beach and from there I’m going to take a trip alone. I need to sleep. For now I just want to rest and when I return from my trip I will see some projects. Meanwhile I need to rest,” says the actress and model who was recently seen in the series ‘Super Ada’ (América Televisión) as Macarena Williams, the antagonist.

Rivadeneira is not oblivious to the social and political crisis that her country is experiencing and is attentive to what could happen in the next presidential elections, scheduled for July 28. We ask her if she sees the outlook with hope. “Well, we are on the verge of a possible change with María Corina (Machado, the opposition leader and founder of the Vente Venezuela political movement), but to be very honest I have lost hope. Venezuela is a beautiful country, rich wherever you look at it, very nice. The most beautiful thing about my country was the happiness of the people and now the people have changed a lot because they have had to separate themselves from their families and that has generated sadness. We were the happiest in the world and now we are a little sad,” she said after participating in the announcement of the new McFlurry Vizzio, on the McDonald’s menu.
Will Korina return to Venezuela?
—Are there plans to return?
-Of course always. I hope I can go so my family can see the beautiful beaches, the place where I grew up. I have my dad, cousins, uncles there.
Professionally, Korina points out that she was satisfied with her participation in ‘Super Ada’. “Macarena has been a blessing for me, a very cute character who started out as a villain and ended up showing her true heart. For me it is nice to go through those emotions. What I look for in a story is that, it makes you feel. For me, when I read a script and feel that the story can move and other people like it, I accept the project.”

—Personally, has it bothered you that from time to time they remind you of Mario Hart’s exes?
No. The thing is that I have no problems with either of the two that they always mention to me. So I don’t have anything good or bad to say. Well maybe yes, but bad, nothing.
-They want to get married?
—Yes, we have talked about it, probably at some point.
