The bank said it is happy to open 100 more gold loan branches in 49 cities this financial year. Gold loans have become the most preferred means of availing financial assistance for personal and business needs.
Indians are holding a lot of passive gold even when gold prices are on the rise. But today gold loans have become an attractive proposition. Also, private sector lender Kotak Mahindra Bank has introduced ‘Kotak fyn’, an integrated portal developed to offer comprehensive digital banking and value-added services to its business banking, corporate clients.
The portal will offer services across all categories including trading, services, account services, payments, collections and will make banking service seamless for the bank’s clients.
The bank says it hopes this will reduce complexity for customers. The portal ensures paperless transactions. It will also offer a unified data facility across multiple product-specific portals and back-office systems to create a single view of transactions, positions and balances. Enabling self-service and driving functionality, the bank said in a statement.
