KUWAIT CITY: First aid from Kuwait will arrive in India on Saturday, May 1, amid reports of a shortage of adequate medical equipment in hospitals in India, where the Kovid outbreak is severe. Kuwaiti Ambassador to India Jasim Al Najim told the Kuwait News Agency. The aid will be flown to India on a special military plane.

He said that in the first phase, oxygen concentrators, ventilators, oxygen cylinders of various sizes and other medical devices will be delivered to India. He said this was the first step in helping India in the fight against the virus in the wake of the severe Kovid outbreak. He hoped that this would help in alleviating the suffering of the Indians who were suffering during the tragedy.
Earlier, Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. Kuwaiti Foreign Minister and Cabinet Minister Sheikh Dr. In a telephone conversation with Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwait expressed Kuwait’s support for India in the crisis. The Kuwaiti cabinet, which met yesterday, had also decided to send emergency aid to India.
