Those were the days when the movie ‘Drohi’ was released. Who dubbed Krishnamraju while watching that movie..? I doubted that. Naturally, I don’t like anyone else’s voice except that of NTR. Such is the way he speaks Telugu that hooked me. He recites long poems and dialogues very clearly. Hearing that, Allu Ramalingaiah, who was sitting next to him, said, ‘What, Lingaiah.. Who gave the dubbing to that boy..? Someone is saying very loudly like that.. who..?’ When asked anxiously, he said it was his own dubbing.
I was surprised to hear that, and immediately after the movie, I went to him and said, ‘Why are you speaking such wonderful dialogues? You should act in more films’. He laughed at that. They laughed. That is how our introduction led us to be a part of many wonderful movies like Marana Homam, Prema Nadaluru, Amara Deepam, Bobbili Brahmana, Ravana Brahma. Kalama’s mother is sad to be away from an actor like him. Kaikala Satyanarayana wrote that his passing away is not only for the Telugu film world but also for all of us.
