Our five jumpers will have a chance to improve their position on Wednesday. Kubacki, however, is in a much worse situation as the only from the “White and Reds” did not make it through the qualifying rounds. He took 52nd place and did not win the right to take part in the competition.
Before the 33-year-old’s attempt, there was plenty on the hill difficult wind conditions. Due to strong gusts, the Pole left the starting beam. After a while he returned to it, but his performance did not look good. He jumped only 108.5 metersobtaining a total score of 84.7 points.
Dawid Kubacki’s disaster. It’s never been this bad
This the first such case in Kubacki’s careerthat he did not advance to the competition during the Four Hills Tournament. The disastrous performance in the qualifications only confirms the decline in form that our jumper is facing. Everything indicates that the crisis will not be resolved in Austria either.
I lost mainly due to the wind, because in other conditions this jump would have looked completely different. Of course, I will also see my mistakes in this jump, because not everything worked out perfectly. Just behind the bull I had a strong draft from behind. With the mistakes I made, there was no chance. The skis didn’t hold at all. There was no air at all downstairs and we had to say goodbye.
