According to the results of January 2023, 17,468 commercial and passenger cars of the brand were sold by official Lada dealers in Russia. This was announced on February 3 by the press service of AvtoVAZ.
Lada Granta was in the highest demand: 11,905 cars were sold in January this year, which is 115.4% higher than in January 2022.
The Lada Niva family showed a significant increase in sales: in the first month of 2023, the Niva Legend and Niva Travel SUVs sold 4,950 units, which is 94% higher than in January 2022. The official dealers of the brand sold 2886 Niva Travel (plus 123.7% by January 2022) and 2064 Niva Legend (plus 63.2% by January 2022).
“With only two families – Granta and NIVA – we practically repeated the result of sales in January last year, when our dealers sold six Lada models. In addition, the market share, according to our calculations, exceeded 40%. This confirms the demand for Lada among Russians, as well as the effectiveness of government programs to stimulate demand for cars,” said Dmitry Kostromin, AvtoVAZ Vice President for Sales and Marketing.
On February 2, AvtoVAZ resumed production of two more versions of the Lada Niva Legend SUV. The Niva Urban version costs from 869,500 rubles, and the Niva Legend Black costs from 878,500 rubles. The Urban version outwardly differs from the traditional Niva Legend with bumpers integrated into the silhouette of the body and painted in the color of the car body. The car is equipped with air conditioning, alloy wheels, power windows, heated front seats, electric drive and heated exterior mirrors. The Black SUV version initially appeared in the factory range in the fall of 2020. It differs from the Urban version in black alloy wheels, black interior trim and special nameplates with the name of the configuration.
