Press reports revealed on Wednesday that Frank Lampard is preparing to record a surprise return to the position of coach of Chelsea, but on a temporary basis until the end of the season.
It was reported that Lampard entered an advanced stage of talks with Chelsea to take over the position of coach, before meeting Wolverhampton next Saturday.
And the position of coach at Chelsea became vacant, after the dismissal of Graham Potter last Sunday, who succeeded the German Thomas Tuchel at the beginning of the current season.
Lampard was sacked from Chelsea’s training in January 2021, and then took over Everton’s training, but he also left his position in January 2022.
Lampard, 44, attended the historic scorer for Chelsea, the match in which the team drew 0-0 at home to Liverpool on Tuesday, amid speculation about his approaching return to the position of coach on a temporary basis.
Lampard may continue in office, until clear vision regarding negotiations with Julian Nagelsmann, who was recently dismissed from Bayern Munich’s German training.
