Jammu. A big news is coming from Jammu and Kashmir. A landslide occurred today near Panchhi helipad on Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan Marg. Three devotees have died in this accident. Some devotees are reported to be injured. Immediately after this (landslide) accident, Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has started rescue and relief operations.
There is still a possibility of many pilgrims being trapped under the debris. Let us tell you that there was heavy rain in Vaishno Devi in the last two days, which is believed to be the reason for the landslide. According to the local people, the landslide has happened due to bad weather. It is raining continuously due to which this landslide has happened. Rescue operation is still going on in Himkot.
Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board confirmed the incident and said that as soon as the information about the landslide accident was received, a disaster management team reached the spot and rescue operation was started. A video of the accident has also surfaced, in which debris fallen on the track can be seen. The board said that there has been an incident of stone falling from the mountain and landslide on the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine track. The disaster management team of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has reached the spot.

However, it was said that a short spell of rain would be seen at some places in the Union Territory in a few days.
