Wayanad. Congress candidate for Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held a road show in Sultan Bathery, Wayanad. During this, Lok Sabha leader and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was also present. He was campaigning for Priyanka Gandhi in Wayanad.
Priyanka Gandhi is trying her luck in the by-election for Wayanad Lok Sabha seat. During the road show, Rahul Gandhi was seen wearing a T-shirt of I Love Wayanad. Rahul Gandhi said, today when I was in the plane, I realized that I had not used the word ‘love’ in politics for many years. After coming to Wayanad, I suddenly started using the word ‘love’ in politics.
During the road show in Wayanad, Rahul Gandhi said, “The people of Wayanad gave me so much love and affection that my politics changed. I realized that the only weapon to counter hatred is affection.” But right at the beginning of the journey, I noticed that I was hugging people and people were kissing me. I was saying, I love you, they were saying, we love you.
He further said that the people of Wayanad taught me that this word has a very important place in politics. That’s why today I am wearing this T-shirt. Today is the last day of campaigning for the by-election on Wayanad Lok Sabha seat. Whereas Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivkumar has given his statement regarding Wayanad by-election. “I just campaigned there,” he said. This is a one-sided election. People from different political parties also want Priyanka to become an MP.”
