Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, “Mother of the Emirates”, the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy announced the launch of the inaugural edition of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy Gulf Basketball Cup, which will be held in Abu Dhabi from August 22-26. Four teams are participating in this anticipated event, which is being held in conjunction with the celebrations of Emirati Women’s Day. From the UAE, the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Academy team will compete, while the State of Kuwait will be represented by the “Al-Qurain” team, from the Sultanate of Oman, the “Salalah” club, and from Qatar, the “Al-Gharafa” club.

This will be the first Gulf championship to be organized at the new headquarters.
