The Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has launched an automatic approval service for requests for deletion and addition of policies and transshipment containers in export competitions, in cooperation with the General Authority for Ports “Mawani”, to include the service at all ports of the Kingdom.
According to a statement from the authority, the new service aims to enable shipping agents to obtain automatic approval for requests to amend transshipment policies and containers, thus contributing to improving the shipping agents’ experience, facilitating the transshipment process at seaports, and enhancing the Kingdom’s share of transit trade, in order to achieve national goals. And the aspirations of “Vision 2030” for the Kingdom to be a global logistics platform.
This service is an extension of the authority’s initiatives and development programs to facilitate customs procedures and related logistics services, in implementation of one of the most important pillars of its strategy aimed at facilitating trade exchange and achieving customer satisfaction in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in highlighting the Kingdom as an attractive environment for investment and a global platform in providing logistics services.
For its part, Mawani attaches great importance to providing a distinctive electronic experience to its customers within the framework of its strategic objectives to enable the national economy and industry, and the role assigned to it within the national strategy for transport and logistics services.
