The Telangana Congress party, which dreams of winning a majority of seats in the coming elections, is reeling from internal squabbles. As elections approach in another year, leaders who have to fight the ruling party are bringing headaches to power with antics. It was in this context that TPCC chief Revanth Reddy had to fight his own party leaders rather than his rivals. Observing these developments, however, the ruling party decided to put a check on the dissident class leaders. The TPCC disciplinary committee is prepared to take action against leaders who disregard party rules and act accordingly.
The key decisions were taken at a meeting of the disciplinary committee chaired by Chinnareddy at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday. The committee decided to issue a show cause notice to Tungaturti constituency leader Addanki Dayakar. Dayakar, who recently held a press meet in Delhi, was furious with senior Congress leaders Uttam Kumar Reddy, Damodar Reddy and Komati Reddy Venkatereddy. The committee examined the complaint lodged by former minister Damodar Reddy against him and issued a show cause notice. It was ordered to reply within a week. On the other hand, Kamareddy DCC president complained that Madan Mohan was doing service activities in Zaheerabad parliamentary constituency not on behalf of the Congress party but in the name of MYF Madan Youth Force. With this, the committee decided to suggest that the programs undertaken by Madan Mohan should be undertaken on behalf of the party and all party leaders should be included.
