Chennai: Captain Shabali Verma has effectively led the Indian team to win the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup series. She has said that she is currently concentrating on the Women’s T20 World Cup series to be held in South Africa on February 10.

In this context, when India lost to Australia in the final of the 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup in Melbourne, Shabali stood on the field, unable to control her tears. He was in tears after the historic win yesterday.
“I shed tears of sadness in 2020. But these are tears of joy. We have achieved what we came here for. I tried to control my tears. But, I couldn’t do it,” said Shabali.
Continuing, she said, “Now all my focus is on the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup series. I will take this win as motivation when I join the senior team. I hope we will win the trophy in the senior category as well,” he said.
