Fatehpur A major train accident occurred on Tuesday in Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The accident occurred when a goods train parked on the track was hit by a second freight train. The collision was so tremendous that the engine of the goods train and the box of the guard fell down from the track.
The accident took place between Kanpur-Fatehpur near Pambhipur in Khaga. Loco pilots of both trains were seriously injured in the Fatehpur Train Accident. There was a stir in the railway as soon as the accident was reported. In a hurry, senior railway officials reached the spot and admitted both the seriously injured loco pilots to the hospital. The track is currently being cleaned.

According to the information received, at 8 am on Tuesday morning, the coal-laden freight train was standing due to the red signal on the Dedicated Freight Corridor track near Pambhipur in Khaga between Kanpur-Fatehpur. At the same time, the second freight train suddenly collided with the train standing ahead. The collision was so tremendous that the engine of the Goods Trains and the guard of the guard fell down from the track. Loco pilots of both trains were seriously injured in the accident.
After the accident, the coal was shattered on the track. Senior railway officials reached the spot as soon as the traffic affected information was received. Loco pilots of both trains were admitted to the hospital. Relief and rescue operations continue. Rail traffic on the freight corridor is affected due to the accident. Many goods trains have been stopped. Some routes of some have been changed. The railway administration has ordered an inquiry.
