The anniversary of Lima is celebrated every January 18, in commemoration of the founding of the city on January 18, 1535 by Francisco Pizarro. For the 490 years since that historic event, it has been decided to hold a Grand Parade, as well as musical presentations with notable artists.

The Municipality of Lima Through his social networks, he has confirmed that the Anniversary of the Capital will be celebrated next January 17 in the Plaza de Armas in Lima, with different activities for all attendees and live music.

This event aims to bring together families and friends in a festive and traditional environment, presenting a diverse musical repertoire that includes genres such as cumbia, salsa and even rock. The celebration promises to be a space of joy and coexistence for all attendees.

“Come to the Historic Center this Friday, January 17, and let’s celebrate Lima’s anniversary together as a family. We will begin with the Great Parade of Lima, we will have exhibitions, giant screens, various activities and musical presentations by notable and outstanding artists, singing and paying tribute to our beloved city,” they wrote on their social networks.
