Lingusamy: 'Warrior' Director Lingusamy Sentenced To 6 Months In Jail

Lingusamy is one of the star directors of Kollywood. Among his films, ‘Run, Pandankodi, Aawara’ were good hits. But last year, for the first time, Ram Pothineni’s multi-lingual movie ‘Warrior’ in Telugu and Tamil was wrapped up in flop talk. Meanwhile, the PVP organization.. last year Lingusamy, his brother Subhash Chandra Bose for Rs. 1.03 crore check bounce case filed. Both of them running a production house in the name of ‘Tirupathi Brothers’ took the above mentioned amount as loan from PVP Capital Limited in 2014. But PVP registered a case against them as their check bounced.

In the background of these developments, the Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Chennai, Saidapet sentenced director Lingusamy to 6 months imprisonment in the check fraud case. To this extent, an order was issued on August 22, 2022.. Lingusamy filed his appeal against this. In this order, the Madras Principal Sessions Court upheld the 6-month jail sentence imposed on Linguswamy by the Saidapet court on April 12. Due to this, now Lingusamy has to serve 6 months imprisonment.

However, Lingusamy, who shared about this judgment on Twitter, revealed that he will appeal again. As for.. Lingusamy is currently in financial trouble. Lingusamy also made a statement last year while the court was sentencing. “There is a dispute between PVP Capitals and our production company Tirupati Brothers Film Media Private Limited. The Hon’ble Court passed its judgment today (Thursday) on the petition filed by them. We will appeal this. Brother Ganesh revealed that we will deal with the problem legally.

In fact, some of the films produced by Lingusamy were disappointing at the box office. This caused financial problems. His last film ‘Warrior’ with Ram Pothineni in Telugu was a flop not only commercially but also in terms of content. He said this in an interview given to a YouTube channel earlier about the same thing. ‘I know there is a discussion that doing a better villain has ruined my production venture. But we have learned a lot from him, so I have never said such a thing anywhere.’
