Liwa Sports Club announced that it plans to register Liwa recreational caravan parks in the Guinness Book of World Records, as the largest serviced caravan park in the world. Since its establishment in 2017, these parking lots have proven their position as one of the most prominent facilities designated for land trip enthusiasts, in the world.
The club said in a statement that this initiative was launched during the 2018 Liwa International Festival, where parking lots were opened with a capacity of 144 caravans. Since then, Liwa Club has continued to develop it, as the capacity was doubled in 2019 to reach 296 caravans, then expanded to 448 caravans in 2021, thanks to the addition of basic services and the launch of an electronic reservations system through the club’s application. In 2022, the capacity increased to 592 caravans, and the year 2023 witnessed a qualitative leap with the construction of an asphalt road inside the parking lots, in addition to providing sports fields and public facilities, which raised the capacity to 840 caravans. In 2024, the club focused on improving the visitors’ experience by developing a unified electronic reservations system, providing environmentally friendly golf vehicles to serve visitors, and ensuring a quiet and safe area for all members of the community.
