The world of cumbia is in mourning after the death of the composer Eduardo Zapata Querevaluwho composed several songs for the emblematic group from Piura, Agua Marina.

Yesterday, May 5, the artist’s son confirmed the news on his social networks: “My father, Don Eduardo Francisco Zapata Querevalú, went to heaven. May mommy Mary guide you, Pa, may they introduce you to the son and may our Lord Jesus Christ lead you by the hand to the almighty father. After a black night the sun will rise.

The renowned Sechurano composer Eduardo Zapata was infected with COVID-19; however, he was unable to fully recover from the aftermath of the virus and passed away at the age of 70.
