In the city of Raychikhinsk, Amur Region, a local emergency mode has been declared. The reason is an accident at the local Sever boiler house, which left hundreds of houses with little to no heating. At 9 a.m. on January 18, the supply temperature was reduced at the boiler house.
The operation of one of the boilers was stopped due to the high physical wear of the boiler pipes. At the moment, only two of the three boilers are in operation.
The boiler house supplies heat to 159 apartment buildings, a school gym and three kindergartens. It is administered by the resource supplying organization OOO Teplovodokanal. The director and owner is Sergey Kondratiev, PriamurMedia news agency specifies.
The head of Raychikhinsk, Yuri Kovalev, explained in his Telegram channel that, according to representatives of TVK, the boiler needs major repairs. However, the city’s budget is subsidized, there are no funds for urgent repairs. A decision was made to send an application for a subsidy from the regional reserve fund.
The Amur News Service recalls that, according to the prosecutor’s office, the authorities of Raichikhinsk must repair the damaged equipment within a month. The administration appealed against the court decision, stating that the boilers were in good order, and called the acts on the malfunction of the boiler equipment untrue.
The board of the Amur Regional Court rejected the complaint of the authorities and decided to complete the repair by June 1, 2023.
A check on the fact of a technological failure was carried out by the city prosecutor’s office. A presentation was made to the head of the city administration.
Earlier, on January 17, it was reported that a criminal case was opened on the fact of a utility accident in Megion (Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug). The microdistrict was left without heating during 40-degree frosts.
