Washington. 16 people have been confirmed dead in the wildfire that broke out in Los Angeles last week, while more than 12,000 buildings have been damaged. About 1.5 lakh people have been rescued and taken to safe places, while the same number of people have been asked to be prepared for any adverse situation. Schools have been closed due to the fire. East of Los Angeles, fires in Eaton Canyon and Highland Park have affected schools and homes. Parts of two elementary schools and Palisades Charter High School were damaged. The Eaton fire destroyed approximately 14,000 acres of land and heavily damaged more than 5,000 buildings.

Meanwhile, the entertainment industry has been hit hard by fires, power outages and toxic air, with many film and TV shoots being cancelled. Along with this, many premieres and programs have also had to be cancelled. At the same time, Hollywood stars living in other posh areas including Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles have been forced to leave their homes and go to other places.
