In a recent interview, the founder of The Blackbirds expressed his joy at the inclusion of the Amazonian cumbia band in the prestigious Coachella 2025 festival. Jorge Rodríguez Grández He pointed out that the group’s next participation represents a great opportunity within the music scene.

After Los Mirlos’ participation in the upcoming Coachella 2025 festival was confirmed, the leader of the Amazonian band himself decided to show his gratitude and excitement for being considered for this famous musical event.

“We are all happy and very happy to bring our Amazonian and psychedelic cumbia to a mega event of that category and represent our beloved Peru. As I always do, I carry my flag, the red and white one,” he said in an interview with RPP.

Along the same lines, Jorge Rodríguez Grández highlighted that it is the first time that Los Mirlos will play their Amazonian cumbia on such a large stage, along with renowned artists such as Green Day, rapper Post Malone and Lady Gaga.

“Playing alongside these artists will be a great reason to bring our psychedelic Amazonian cumbia to that audience that is waiting for Los Mirlos. Generally, it is a foreign audience that will share with us at the festivals,” he added in this regard.

Los Mirlos will prepare for Coachella 2025

On the other hand, the founder of Los Mirlos assured that they will prepare hard to be on par with the musicians who will perform at Coachella 2025. Likewise, Jorge Rodríguez Grández expressed his excitement that his group will play in California.
