New Delhi: Indian cricket team’s wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant was traveling in a car involved in an accident. Pakistan cricket team fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has said that he is praying for him as he is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Rishabh Pant was traveling in a car on the Delhi-Deradun National Highway when he hit a barricade on the road and met with an accident. The accident took place near Roorkee around 5.30 am. As the car caught fire, passers-by immediately rescued him from the car. He was later admitted to the hospital for treatment.
It is reported that he has injuries on his forehead, knees, back, wrists and ankles. Many people like fellow athletes, coaches and political figures are praying for his speedy recovery. Prime Minister Modi also shared his grief.
Shaheen Afridi’s tweet is an expression of humanity even though India and Pakistan are separated by borders. “Praying Rishabh Banda,” he tweeted. Although both are players for different countries in the world of cricket, it is love that unites them in a single point.
