Cyclone Cyclone is located over the southeast Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea. A cyclonic circulation moving in a west-northwest direction is likely to intensify into a depression over central Bay of Bengal within 24 hours. There is a chance of rain with thunder and lightning in the coming days.
According to the Central Meteorological Department, strong winds with a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour along with thunder and lightning are likely to occur at isolated places in Kerala till Friday and rain with thunder and lightning on Saturday and Sunday.
Fishing is still prohibited in Kerala coast and Lakshadweep area. Meanwhile, there is no restriction on fishing in Karnataka coast. Today there is a warning that there is a possibility of strong winds and bad weather at the speed of 40 to 45 km per hour and on some occasions up to 55 km per hour in Kerala coast and Lakshadweep area.
