Sensational news about LTTE chief Prabhakaran has come to the fore. Paja Nedumaran, the president of Tamilar Peramaippu, announced that the leader of Tamil Eelam (Velupillai Prabhakaran), who had troubled the Sri Lankan government until decades ago, is still alive. Nedumaran made the announcement while addressing a media conference at Mullivaikkal Mutram in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu on Monday (February 13) morning. Nedumaran said that he is in touch with Prabhakaran’s family members. He said that he is disclosing this matter as per their wish.
‘LTTE chief Velupillai Prabhakaran is alive. Moreover, they are healthy. He will soon come before the people. I am proud to announce this good news to Tamil people. We hope all the rumors about Prabhakaran will be put to rest very soon,’ said Nedumaran.
In May 2009, the Sri Lankan Army announced that Prabhakaran had been killed in an operation by the Sri Lankan Army against LTTE activities. Videos related to this have also been released. The Sri Lankan government said that DNA tests have also confirmed this matter.
Nedumaran said that the current international situation and the uprising against the Rajapaksa government in Sri Lanka had created an ideal environment for Prabhakaran to leave his anonymity and come before the people. Nedumaran opened another sensation by saying that he is going to announce plans for the people of Tamil Eelam soon.
