Lucknow. A unique feat of Lucknow Police has come to light. Police has challaned a person who died three years ago for disturbing peace. Its report has also been sent to the court. When the family came to know about it, they complained to the higher authorities. After this, the inspector has sent a report against the sub-inspector to the authorities.
The case is of Rahimabad police station of Malihabad tehsil area. Maiku (65), a resident of Gahdo Khageshwar Kheda of Rahimabad police station area, died on 24 July 2021. The police (Lucknow Police) recently issued a summons against Maiku for breach of peace and issued a notice to appear in court. When the family members received the notice, they were shocked.
The family informed the police (Lucknow Police) about Mekku’s death but nothing happened. After this, the family met the inspector and told him everything. After this, the inspector recommended action against the sub-inspector who issued the notice. According to Mekku’s brother Lekh Ram, a notice was received from the police (Lucknow Police) on 29th July. In this, Mekku was ordered to appear in the court.
According to Lekh Ram, the family was shocked when the notice came three years after the death. On enquiring, it was found that Inspector Karan Singh had prepared a report against Mekku and sent it to the court on 9 July 2024. After this the notice was issued. Police station in-charge Anubhav Singh said that on the basis of the family’s objection, a report has been prepared against the concerned inspector and sent to the officials.
