Lucknow who made RCB cry .. won in the last over

In the IPL 2023 season, Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered an unexpected defeat at home on Monday night. In this match against Lucknow Super Giants at Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Bengaluru team batting first scored 212 runs, but defeat was inevitable. Nicholas Pooran (62: 4×4, 7×6 off 18 balls) hit the target and hit consecutive sixes. In the last over, the victory went to the Lucknow team.

Chasing 213 runs, Lucknow got a shock in the first over. In-form opener Kyle Meyers (0) was ducked. Captain KL Rahul (18: 1×4 off 20 balls), Deepak Hooda (9), Krunal Pandya (0) were dismissed for a low score. With that, it looked like the match had gone into Bangalore’s hands. But.. Marcus Stainis (65: 6×4, 5×6 off 30 balls) who came to bat at No. 5 played huge shots and paved the way for Lucknow’s win.. Nicholas Pooran who came at No. 6 also created havoc. Pooran, who reached the 50-run mark in just 15 balls, was dismissed for a six at the team’s score of 189. By then, Bengaluru needed 24 runs off 18 balls to win.

From the 19th over, young hitter Ayush Badoni (30: 4×4 off 24 balls) took charge and hit a stunning boundary. After that, even though he hit a six off the ball, he lost control of the bat and hit the wickets. Even though the ball went for a six, Badoni had to go to the pavilion. From here, the excitement in the match rose. In the last over, Lucknow needed 7 runs to win.. Unadkat took a single off the first ball. But.. the next ball was bowled by Markwood (0). Ravi Bishnoi took two runs off the third ball and a single off the fourth ball to level the scores. However.. Jaydev Unadkat (9) got out in the fifth ball and had to go for one run off the last ball.

Although bowler Harshal Patel attempted mankading before throwing the last ball, the umpires ruled that he did not attempt it in accordance with the rules. Finally when Harshal threw the last ball, the batsman Avesh Khan could not even touch it. Even though the ball went to the wicket keeper Dinesh Karthik, he received the ball and failed to run out. Avesh-Ravi Bishnoi pulled off a single before Karthik got up and sent Lucknow into a frenzy of victory. After losing the match, RCB players were seen on the ground with emotion.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, who had earlier lost the toss and batted first, had openers Virat Kohli (61: 44 balls 4×4, 4×6), Duplessis (79 not out: 5×4, 5×6 off 46 balls) and Glenn Maxwell (59: 29 balls 3×4, 6×6) at No.3. ) scored lightning half-centuries. That team scored 212 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Lucknow Supergiants bowlers Markwood and Amit Mishra took a wicket each.
