Russian actress Nina Ruslanova won the hearts of millions of viewers with her vivid roles and images in the cinema. This statement was made by the Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova on Sunday, November 21.
“Sad news for all of us was the death of an outstanding actress, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Nina Ivanovna Ruslanova <...> With her vivid and memorable images, she won the hearts of millions of viewers of various generations, and her rich filmography became an example of an invaluable creative heritage, in which each work is inimitable and unique, ”Lyubimova wrote in a government telegram to the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, which is at the disposal of Izvestia.
The Minister noted that, despite the many trials that fell to the lot of Nina Ivanovna, she fulfilled the cherished dream of her childhood – she became an actress.
On the same day, Soviet and Russian film director Yuri Kara said that the death of Nina Ruslanova was a huge loss. He recalled that the artist had a strong-willed character, and said that “the Russian land rests on such women”.
People’s Artist Nina Ruslanova died at the age of 76 after a long illness on Sunday, November 21. Ruslanova is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actress. Known for the films “Afonya”, “Shadows disappear at noon”, “Do not shoot white swans”, “Take care of men!” and etc.
