Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, called on world players to come professionally in the Saudi League, considering it much better than leagues in Europe, especially the French League.
He said during his participation in the Dubai International Sports Conference, “I was subjected to severe criticism when I decided to move to Saudi Arabia, but I invite everyone to come and experience playing there. The Saudi League has developed a lot, and if you believe my words, come and see for yourselves.”
He added: “For example, the French League only supports one club, which is Paris Saint-Germain. There is no real competition there. In contrast, the Saudi League offers strong competition and a very advanced level.”
Ronaldo ruled out that he would head into the world of coaching after his football career ends, and perhaps I will become president of a club in the future.
Ronaldo urged the world’s clubs to invest more in young players to ensure results, pointing out that there are players like Lamine Yamal who succeeded at the age of 17 in achieving international stardom. This was not common in the past.
Ronaldo spoke about his former coach at Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, noting, saying: “In order to be a successful coach, you must know how to deal with your players. This is the key to Ancelotti’s superiority. He has this advantage, and that is why he is an exceptional coach.”
Regarding the reasons for the decline of Manchester United, “The problem in Manchester United is not just the coaches. There are deeper problems within the club. But I am confident that the sun will shine again on this great club.”
