This year, the Miss Peru final promises to be different, not only because of its new location in the Real Felipe Fortress, but also because of the entry prices that have caused controversy even before the event takes place. Magaly Medina was quick to express her skepticism and surprise at the changes announced by Jessica Newton, organizer of the event.
With prices ranging between $80 and $200, the 2024 edition of Miss Peru seems to move away from its traditional format to enter a modality that many consider exclusive. Medina was ironic about the quality of the candidates and the prices, since she suggested that, with such costs, viewers could expect performances by international figures like Marc Anthony or Karol G, instead of a local beauty pageant.

What did Magaly Medina say about the Miss Peru 2024 candidates?
Magaly Medina has had no qualms about questioning the selection of candidates for this year’s contest. She even added that the organization chaired by Jessica Newton should have an international artist as a guest due to the controversy surrounding the prices to attend the event.
“We have been able to find out that the most expensive ticket is 700 soles.Do you think people will pay to go see a Miss Peru final? Because if you expect people to go for this year’s candidates, throw yourself in the water. Because (Jessica) Newton has already gone too far from being inclusive, so don’t go too far. Where did they get the misses from? They are supposed to compete because they can win, but poor things, they are playing with their illusions,” he said. “They will bring an international artist, so that people are encouraged to pay for the tickets,” he concluded with a laugh.

What are the ticket prices for Miss Peru 2024?
The prices to attend the event have been a cause of astonishment and criticism. The cheapest section, called ‘popular’, costs $80, while seats in the ‘platinum’ section reach $200. These prices not only exceed those of previous editions, but also pose a barrier for many regular fans of the event, who must now evaluate whether the show justifies such an investment.
Who are the candidates for Miss Peru 2024?
Despite criticism, this year’s contest has a variety of candidates who promise to bring freshness and diversity. From experienced models to young people who are new to this type of competition, the Miss Peru 2024 seeks to break molds.
