“The police are currently investigating what exactly happened,” said a spokesman for the Amsterdam police unit. The spokesperson could not provide more information so far as the investigation has not yet been completed. The spokesperson hopes to be able to share more information tomorrow.
The area where the body was fished up has been extensively cordoned off. A police boat is also present at the crime scene, according to the spokesperson. It is unknown how the magnet fisherman is doing.
